OFFICERS PROMOTED
NEW ZEALAND FORCES POSTINGS ANNOUNCED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The following appointments and promotions of officers of the New Zealand military forces were gazetted last night:— Lieut.-Colonel J. G. Jeffrey, M.C., V.D., A.D.C., is appointed a fortress commander in the South Island in addition to his appointment as area commander and is granted the temporary rank of colonel. Major R. Sinel, reserve of officers, New Zealand Artillery, is promoted to the rank of temporary lieutenantcolonel and is appointed Director of Mechanical Transport, Amy Headquarters, vice Major (temp. Lieut.Colonel) V. J. Innes, who is attached to the branch of the QuartermasterGeneral, Army Headquarters. Captain S. C. Hay is appointed deputy assistant Adjutant-General northern military district, and is granted the temporary rank of major while so employed. Major E. F. Laws, Second N.Z.E.F., is appointed deputy assistant Quarter-master-General," central military distrist. Major F. R.
