GENERAL GOTT’S FATE (British Official Wireless.) (10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, Aug. 13. It is now officially stated that Lieutenant-General W. H. F. Gott, whose death in Egypt was announced on Monday, was killed when the aeroplane in which he was a passenger was shot down by an enemy aircraft.
