HARRIERS' RELAY RACE
A relay race from the Bridge Hotel to the town clock, an event looked forward to by the Air Training Corps harriers, will be run on Saturday afternoon. The first lap will be from the Bridge Hotel to Matawhero, the second from Matawhero to the show grounds, and the third from the showgrounds to the town clock. A feature of the event is the inclusion of some of Canterbury’s best harriers, D. W. Squire, s. J. O’Gorman, R. Minnery, J. Matheson, W. W. Ranguiaia and R. D. McKone. With these seasoned harriers participating, a keenlycontested race should be witnessed. The toams and their handicaps are as follows:—L. Third, S. Sinton, D. W. Squire, scr.; C. Marshall, I.
