HOCKEY REPS.
LADY CARROLL SHIELD Following a trial match on Saturday, the following women’s hockey team was selected by Mr. A. Cassia to represent Poverty Bay against Napier in the Lady Carroll Shield game:—Goal, Mrs. M. Tupara; full-backs. Miss J. Blane and Mrs. M. Wilson; halfbacks, Misses M. Smiler, L. Wyliie and E. Rich; forwards, Misses T, Whitehead, J. Smiler, M. H. Brown, M. Brown and N. Murray; reserves, Misses T. Smale and N 1 Ereatara. Men’s games played on Saturday resulted in some close encounters, results being as follows:—High School 5, Foresters 2; Air Force 3, Air Training Corps 2; Waituhi 6, Caledonian 2. In the Foresters-High School game. Foresters led by two goals to nil at half-time, -the schoolboys rattling on five gonls in the second half.
