PRISONER OF NAZIS
WELLINGTON OFFICER (2 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 7. Major Leo Kerwin, of Wellington, is reported to be a prisoner of war in Germany. He was captured in Crete where he commanded a unit of the Australian Ordnance Corps. He also served in the A.I.F. in the last war, enlisting at the age of 16 years. Subsequently he served in the Royal Tank Corps in England and India. He again enlisted in Australia as a private in April, 1940, and was quickly promoted,
