King’s.—One of the most outstanding romantic dramas of our time is being screened at the King’s-Theatre. Irene Dunne aml Charles Boyer have the stellar roles in ’The Nearest Thing to Heaven.” From the gay-spirited rose-glow of a shipboard romance, and sparkling humour, this picture swiftly deepens to pathos as the two main characters are whirled through the radiance of life’s spectrum. Regent.—Tommy Trimler, of ‘‘Sailors 3” fime, is coming again to the Regent Theatre to-morrow, this time in his latest comedy, “Laugh It Off.” Tommy Trinder’s success s’.ory has the background of the hard-going apprenticeship of variety and revue, this leading to radio and subsequently the big chance the screen offers for fame far outside the borders of his native land. Proud of his Cockney ancestry, he will tell you lie now knows that “he’d a’ bin a daft one” lo have made his life work anything other than that of a comedian. Majestic.—The beat of the jungle drums which pound out a pattern of tense drama, the romance of a beautiful savage and a happy-go-lucky adventurer, plus all the colour of the tropic isles, make Universal’s "South of Tahiti,” commencing to-day, one of the brightest entertainments of the season. Brian Donlevy, Andy Devine, H. B. Warner, Maria Montez, and Agmicio Saenz have the featured roles in this fast-moving film. The associate feature is “Arizona Bound,” starving Buck Jones and Tim McCoy.
