A large number of people assembled at the'Clive School to farty--well Mr. J. F. Bell, who‘has been appointed headmaster of the Tolaga Bay District High School. The chairman of the school committee. Mr.- T. Burns, presided, and associated with him were Bishon Bennett, Messrs. WV :Tucker and T. Lindsay' Gordon. These speakers dwelt, at length on the good qualities of Mr. and Mrs. Bell and paid tribute to'the splendid work done in the 1 school 'and' ih' the district during their ’-esHeece in Clive. In' presenting Mr. Bell with a handsome fireside chair, .the chairman expressed the general' regret .felt by the people at the • departure of Mr. 'and Mrs. Bell : and r wished them the best ’wishes of the whole community in .their new sphere.
