OBITUARY

The death of Mr. Thomas William Joseph.Coutts occurred a few days ago in Wellington, at the age of 50 years. He commenced duty in the P. and T. Department at Thames, as message boy, in 1906. He was promoted to the First Division in 1909, and was transferred to Tuparoa, East Coast, as Cadet and messenger. Other appointments followed until in 1936 he was made supervisor. Counter, Telegraph counter, at Wellington. Prior to his retirement on superannuation oh June 11 he had been ill for two years. He is surv!ved bv Mrs. Coutte and a daughter, Miss Joy Coutts,.
