RETURN PERMITTED
TRANSFERRED AUENS CALIFORNIAN ZONE (10 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, June 29. Lieut.-General Dewitt, thg Western defence commander, announced that several thousand German and Italian aliens, who were removed from prohlbited areas in California last February, will be permitted to return and resume their former occupations. This action will alleviate the shortage of farm-hands and fruit pickers in those areas.
