According to a message from Chungking, General Lo Choying, comman-der-in-chief of the Chinese forces in Burma, said the Chinese would soon counter-attack in Burma and not from the land alone. General Lo arrived at Chungking by air from India to confer with Marshal Chiang Kai-Shek. General Lo said the Chinese would not give up Burma. The Chinese outlook was determined that Burma could be regained with proper equipment and air support.
