YUGOSLAV KING

U.S. CONGRESS ADDRESSED CONFIDENCE IN VICTORY (9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, June 25. King Peter of Yugoslavia addressed the House of Representatives and Senate separately. “From those silent warriors of the faraway mountains, I bring a comradely salute to the peoples of the United States,” said King Peter. “We shall win the war. We must also win

peace. Never aganst must we permit the calamity of war to fall upon us.” King Peter began with boyish nervousness but later his voice became sure and firm. The Houses warmly and sympathetically applauded. King Peter told press representatives that he would like to work in American factories and attend schools here. Answering an inquiry, King Peter said the guerrillas in Yugoslavia had received some aid dropped from planes. Asked about his romance with Princess Alexandria of Greece, King Peter blushed and replied: “I can’t say anything until Yugoslavia is free of the German yoke.”
