BOMBERS AND FIGHTERS SMALL ENEMY RAIDS (British Official Wireless.) (11 a.m.) RUGBY, June 5. An Air Ministry communique reports that many fighter sweeps were made over occupied territory through, out yesterday, culminating in the evening in a raid on the Dunkirk docks by Bostons escorted by fighters. Three fighters are missing from the day’s operations. Last night our bombers attacked the docks at Dieppe, and enemy airfields in Holland were attacked by bombers and fighters. None of our aircraft is missing. Many squadrons of fighters have been out on offensive operations over northern France again to-day. A sweep was made over the Calais-Dunkirk area this morning.' In the afternoon, Bostons were escorted to attack targets at Le Havre and Ostend, while another force of fighters and bombers attacked enemy aerodromes in Brittany. In these operations our fighters destroyed six German planes. Six of ours are missing, but the pilot of one is safe. A single enemy plane last night dropped bombs on a coastal town in East Anglia.
