MESSAGE TO NURSES

LONDON, Feb. 9. The following message from the Queen to the nurses of Britain with Her Majesty’s facsimile signature and photograph has been sent to the Ministry of Health and the Department of Health for Scotland to each of 3500 voluntary and municipal hospitals and sanatoria in Great Britain, and also to district nurses in homes:“My thoughts go out to the women who, in this third year of the war, are serving the cause of humanity in every branch of the nursing profession. May you be granted strength and courage to carry on your selfless labours and find reward in gratitude of those to whom you minister.”
