Germany, and is tit and well.—Mrs. Joint G. Etheridge lias returned to Napier after spending a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. E. it. Baker, Wairoa.—Mr. and Mrs. j, Nicol, Hastings, are visiting their son, Mr. T. Nicol, Wairoa.—Mr. A. C. A. Hyde, Hastings, is relieving Mr. J. M. Angus, who ~is on holiday, as manager of McCulloch, Butler and Spence, Wairoa.—Mr. and Mrs. T. Davey, Miss Z. Davey, and Messrs. F. C. and T. J. Davey, Wairoa, will return from. Napier to-day. Tho Public Service entrance examination list includes the name of Cynthia Maureen Rose. Wairoa. Among the successful candidates. in the matriculation examination was Pat Foley, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Foley, North Clyde.
