Home Guard Or E.P.S.?

Sir, —Which of the above would be tlie most useful in an emergency? Without a doubt the E.P.S., with its ambulance, auxiliary ’ fire service, auxiliary police, fire watching, transport and other useful services. Men joining the above services will know they are learning and doing -something useful instead of. wasting time as we have been doing in the Home Guard. I would suggest that members of the Home Guard be transferred to the E.P.S., which in my opinion, would be the most required and useful. B. PREPARED.
