Singh Roy, the Indian politician, in his presidential address to the Indian ’tionai Liberal Federation, said: “Our grievances against British rule are great and grave, but we have a duty to India. All Indians should offer their services and resources to the war effort. This Is not a time for doctrinal bargaining. Indians who sacrificed themselves in the Middle East are martyrs in a deserving cause.”
