Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Burton, Waitangi street, are spending the Christmas and New Year holidays with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Burton, Hastings.
Lieutenant-Colonel A. Blackburn, who has been with the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force in the Middle East since the early stages of the war, is back in New Zealand, and is expected fo arrive at Gisborne to-morrow. It was announced recently that Lieutenant - Colonel Blackburn was to take up duties with a tank Unit at Waiouru.
