SHORTAGE OF PLAYERS Most of the teams playing in the weekly cricket, competition on the Ovai this afternoon took the field short of men. owing to many players being members of the emergency services and taking part- in this afternoon’s trial. Results of the games at 2.30 were:— Senior A Grade.—Old Boys-Civil Service v. City, no wickets down for 30 runs, E. bridge being 23 not out; Marist v. G.H.5.0.8. A, one wicket down for 33 runs. Senior B Grade. —High School Old Boys v. High School A. 40 runs for the loss ot four wickets.
