TEN COWS KILLED
ENGINE HITS HERD (Per Proas Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Ten cows were killed on the railway line at Waikouaiti yesterday by the north-bound express, the engine running headlong into a herd being driven over the crossing. The animals were tossed to both sides. The lad in charge had a narrow escape in trying to turn them back.
