SURPRISE FOR MOTHER

An Auckland airman upon the completion of his training in Canada recently sent home some kit which he thought he would not want. When the parcel reached his mother, Mrs. L. Saricli, of Glen Eden, it included a number of articles that were obviously not meant for her. Among them were a pair of unused Canadian slippers, a baby’s frock made of expensive silk, and photographs of people the family does not know. The only explanation that can be offered is that the contents of parcels became mixed when being examined by officials.
