Defective Copper

A fire attributed to defective brickwork in a wash-house copper fireplace called for the services of the Gisborne Fire Brigade this morning, the outbreak being quickly dealt with. The fire occurred at premises at 335 Childers road, occupied by Mrs. Clara Horne. Apart from the charring of some boards and damage to scrim and wall-paper, the loss involved was negligible.
