GUEST FOUND DEAD

ASHBURTON VISITOR (Per Press Association.) TIMARU, this day. Clifford Dixon, aged about 40 years, a clerk, who is believed to have lived in .Masterton, was found dead on Saturday by his host, Mr. William John Greathead. Evidence at the inquest showed that Mr. Dixon arrived from Ashburton on Friday and visited Mr. Greathead, whom he had not seen for many yeats. The pair went to town. Following their return Mr. Greathead made up a bed on the verandah for Mr. Dixon. In the morning Mr. Greathead was unable to rouse Mr. Dixon and found he was dead.

The coroner has ordered a postmortem examination.
