GALWAY GUILD WORK (Herald Correspondent.) The thirty-second meeting of the Te Karaka Lady Galway Guild was held in the Parish ITall this week, 14 members being present. Parcels were received from eight donors and thanks cards sent. The next meeting will be held on December 1 and more workers at the hall will be warmly welcomed. More flourbags for linings are required. A small memento of her birthday was given to Miss Josephine Scott from her fellowmembers. The patriotic shop week taken by Waikohu County residents will, commence on December 1. and all Christmas novelties made for this effort shrful'd be sent in to collectors in each district. Gifts of pb'ultry. butter, egg's, cakes, cream, Christmas cakes, •and 'puddings will be'needed throughout the week. P.uha. It is hoped that every person from 10 years upwards will make an effort to help with the shop and the work of the guild before Christmas Now that the warm. weather has come, woollen garmnts may be spared toy the needs of war victims overseas.
The Bishop of Nelson, the Rt. Rev. W. P. Stephenson, Will be the guest of the Rev J. D. and Mrs. Hodgson tiuring a brief visit-to T-e - Karak-a at the week-end. His Lordship will conduct a confirmation service in St. John’s Church at 11 a.m, on Sunday.
