CALLS CANCELLED
MEN FOR SERVICE GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT In a supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, published to-day, the names of a number of reservists whose callup for military service is cancelled are given with reasons for the cancellations. In some instances men have been called for Territorial service when they are members of class A of the First Division. In others they have been called for Expeditionary Force service when they are not members of class A. In both categories the classification warrants cancellation of the call-up. A reason ascribed in a number of other cases is that tne reservist is already a member of the armed forces, while other reservists have had their call-ups revoked owing to their having passed into classifications not yet liable for either Territorial or overseas service. Gisborne district reservists affected by cancellations are as under:— Already a member of armed forces. —Anderson, James, Mohaka. Not a member of class A, First Division, —Cowan, George William, Te Araroa. Member of Second Division. —McKinnon, Norman, Wairoa. Member of Third Division.—-Hooper, Sydney Joseph, Hicks Bay.
