ALBERTA COLLIERY EXPLOSION IN PIT (Reed. Nov. 3, 11.30 a.m.) NORDEGG (Alberta), Nov. 2. Twenty-seven miners in the big Brazeau collieries were killed when an explosion buried many under tons of coal and rock. Sixteen bodies have so far been recovered. It is the second worst mine disaster in Canadian history.
