Gisborne Show Entries

Entries for the Gisborne Show on November 11 and 12 are slightly lower than last year, but the total of 2890 is regarded as very satisfactory considering that it is now the third year of the war. In the horse, horse competition and cattle sections the entries are only slightly down, horses reaching 440, compared with 497 last year, horse competitions 346, against 392, and cattle 179, compared with 186. Sheep show the biggest reduction in the stock section, the total this year being a drop of over 20 per cent, from 419 last year to 322 this time. Pigs, on the other hand, have remained steady, and at present there is an increase of one at 101 entries. When the secretary, Mr. W. E.
