BAN ON HOARDINGS.

A new by-law prohibiting the erection and use of advertising hoardings on the Great South road within the borough has been adopted at the Otahuhu . Borough Council. The town clerk. Mr.R.W.F.Wood, said the by-law also controlled the erection of any hoardings visible from the road. An advertising eofnpany wrote asking the council lo reconsider its decision instructing it to remove a large hoarding at the corner of Princes street. It was decided to adhere to the previous resolution and to instruct the company to remove the hoarding before September 4.
