TRADE RESUMED

ITALIAN EAST AFRICA (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In view of the fact that the whole of the territories formerly known as Italian East Africa are now areas in occupation of His Majesty, the Minister to Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, in an interview to-day, stated that he was pleased to advice persons, firms and companies that they could now, so far as the enemy trading emergency regulations, 1939, were concerned, trade with any body of persons, whether corporate or unincorporate, carrying on business in these territories. It was to be clearly understood, Mr. Sullivan said, that this announcement related purely to matters concerning enemy trading and persons must, of course, comply with any other regulations in force, either in New Zealand or the territories concerned.
