NAZI ZONE RAIDED
BRITISH AIR FIGHTERS ENEMY PLANES DOWNED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2.40 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 14. Late this afternoon British fighters carried out a sweep over the coast of northern France. In the course of this 13 enemy fighters were destroyed. Three British fighters are missing. “Nothing to report,” states an official communique dealing with air activity over Britain to-day.
