LIABLE TO SEIZURE
SHIPS’ STATUTORY LIST CARGOES FOR ENEMY (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 13. The Ministry of Economic Warfare has given notice that any vessel carrying goods destined for Europe for transhipment on to enemy ships will be liable to be placed on the ships’ statutory list. This order is complementary to one of June IG, which provided that snips taking cargoes off enemy ships foi transhipment to South American ports were liable to be placed on the statutory list. The placing of a ship on this lis. means that it is regarded as an enemy ship and liable to seizure as a prize.
