VEGETABLE GROWING
AUSTRALIAN PROJECT SUPPLIES FOR TROOPS (Reed. Aug. 13. 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Aug. 13. The Commonwealth Government has embarked on vegetable growing on a large scale in order to meet the demands of the Australian and Imperial troops. The Government has requisitioned sufficient seed to plant 3000 acres in Victoria and New South Wales, chiefly in beans and peas which will be canned a"d exnorted.
