BRITISH AND SOVIET RAIDS (Reed. Aug. 1, 11 a.m.) LONDON, July 31. The German radio yesterday stated that under escort of fighters British torpedo-carrying planes taking off from an aircraft-carrier in the Arctic attacked a north Norwegian port. The attack coincided with a Soviet raid over the north of Norway. The German radio added that the Royal Air Force also raided northern Germany.
