(Herald Correspondent.) ■t has been arranged to hold a dance ; n Matawai on Saturday night in aid of the funds’ of the Matawai unit of the Home Guard. Very heavy rain fell at the weekend, and the Matawai Creek was in high flood, while several slips on both •••nnds to Opotiki held up traffic. The meeting of the Home Guard was postuotied until Saturday. The children’s sports also will take place on Saturday.
