All Black Wounded

Lieutenant James Gladwyn Wynyard, Te Awamutu, reported wounded, is the second son of LieutenantColonel J. G. Wynyard, of Te Awamutu. Lieutenant Wynyard was a member of the 1935 All Blacks and was a Waipa and Waikato representative. He gained his commission in the Waikato Mounted Rifles and left New Zealand with the first draft. His brother, Lieutenant Robert Wynyard, also joined the first draft, but has since been invalided home.
