THE MATSON SERVICE GOVERNMENT CONTROL (Reed. June 4, 3 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, June 3. Officials of the Matson Line said that under an emergency proclamation their ships are subject to Government control and will run wherever the Government deems them to be most useful, but at present there is no indication of any disruption of their normal operations. They added that they regarded the Australian run as most important and hoped to continue it, but could not predict what would happen.
