WORK AFTER WAR

TRAINING OF AIRMEN (British Oflicinl Wireless./ Reed. 2 p.m. RUGBY, June 4. Since the inauguration of the Empire air scheme 180,455 men have applied to enlist in the Royal Australian Air Force.

It is announced that the Federal Cabinet has approved of a spare-time training plan to put members of the Royal Australian Air Force in skilled occupations after the war. It is estimated that the scheme will cost £50,000 per year. It will assist skilled men to retain their knowledge of former occupations and help others secure suitable work.
