TOKIO, June 3
The Shanghai correspondent of the newspaper Asahi stated that British officials, including Australians, have been conferring at Hong Kong with the object of establishing powerful air bases for joint use by the BritishAmerican forces and also considering strengthening the land route from Burma and Singapore, as well as closer means of commnunication between Burma and Malaya.
