RAIDERS OVER BRITAIN
SOME PERSONS WOUNDED

Reed. 2.30 p.m. RUGBY, June 3. A burst of machine-gun fire and the , wounding of some people are reported in a communique issued by the Air Ministry and Ministry of Home Security to-day. The communique says: “During the afternoon single enemy aircraft dropped bombs on a town on the south coast. Several people were injured and damage was done to buildings. “Another enemy .aircraft bombed a place on the north-east coast and it is believed fired several bursts of machine-gun bullets. The damage done was small, but some persons were wounded. Bombs dropped in the eastern counties did no damage and caused no casualties.
“It has now been confirmed that yesterday another enemy bomber was destroyed by our fighters oif the east coast, making the total three for that day.
