BRITAIN AND AMERICA MR. EDEN’S EXPLANATION OPPOSITION TO HITLER LONDON PRESS PRAISE (Elcc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. May 30, 3 p.m.) LONDON, May 29. The Daily Mail in a leading article states that the speech of the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, was outstandingly important, “He outlined the Anglo-American new deal in the post-war world in opposition to Hitler’s so-called new order,” states the Daily Mail. “This historic pronouncement obviously’ represents the Government's views and could only be made with the approval of the United States. The world learned firstly from Mr. Eden what to expect from the democratic victory.”
