NAPIER HARBOUR

LAST WHARF PILE DRIVEN The ■ last pile of the No. 4 wharf at the Napier breakwater was driven this week by the chairman of the Napier Harbour Board, Mr. T. M. Geddis. The ceremony at the end of the Wharf, described by Mr. Geddis as “the most auspicious occasion in the history of the port,” was attended by a number of members of the board and many of its administrative officers and workmen. At a meeting of the board Mr. Geddis said that a further 12 months’ work would see the board’s full programme completed and the new harbour facilities in full use
