AIRMAN MISSING

CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT SEARCH FRUITLESS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Air headquarters announced last night that the Royal New Zealand Air Force aircraft and its occupant, Leading Aircraftman Selwyn Allan Sinclair, were missing. Leading Aircraftman Sinclair was on a cross-country flight from/Blenheim to Stephens Island, Otaki. and back to Blenheim. He was due back at Blenheim at 11.15 a.m. yesterday, but failed to arrive. A number of aircraft went out to search and they returned at dusk without result.
