CARE OF WOUNDED
APPOINTMENTS MADE DOCTOR AND MATRON (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister of Health, the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, announces two important appointments in connection with the care of sick and wounded soldiers. Dr. D. Macdonald Wilson, Wellington, has been appointed medical officer in charge of the special branch of the Health Department, which will supervise matters by arranging for the medical boarding of men on their return, their disribution by rail or otherwise to different parts of the Dominion and subsequent measures of inspection to see that all possible treatment and care is being afforded to them. - It is a whole-time job upon which Dr. Wilson, Avho was for a number of years medical superintendent of the Wellington Hospital, already entered. Among other duties he will be medical superintendent' of the new clearing hospital noAV nearing completion at Aotea Quay. Miss M. F. Barnett, for many years matron of the Masterton Public Hospital, has joined the staff of the department and will devote part of her time to matters arising out of the handling of sick and wounded soldiers.
