MAYOR OF AUCKLAND

INSTALLATION CEREMONY (Per PreßS Association.). AUCKLAND, this day. The Mayor-elect, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, and city councillors were congratulated by the retiring'Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, at the installation ceremony at the Town Hall to-day. In welcoming Mr. Allum and his wife as Mayor and Mayoress, Sir Ernest Davis, said he retained the happiest recollections of his two terms as Mayor. Mr. Allum said he reciprocated the good wishes of the outgoing Mayor and Mayoress. Cheers were given for Mr. and Mrs. Allum and the councillors were sworn in.
