Eight new women's and juniot records were allowed at the monthlj meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Amateui Athletic Association last night. They were:— W. H. Nelson (Otago): One mile junior, 4min. 30sec.; two miles junior. 9min 54 4-ssec.; three miles junior. ISmin. 19 3-ssec. T. R. Harris (West Const): 880yds junior, lmin. 58 4-ssec. R. J. Morgan (Otago): Junior discus throw, 130 ft. lOJin. D. 11. Carevv (Auckland): 220yds junior, 23sec. Miss D. Mullins (Auckland): Women’s discus throw. 99ft. Tin.
An application by C. R. Bailey (Auckland) for recognition of . his broad jump of 21ft. 31in. as a junior record was referred back for particulars of other competitors in the event D. T. Woodfield, the Otago delegate, .gave notivo of motion to rescind tin disallowance of G. L. Austin's application for a 15-mile record.
