MILK VENDORS CHARGED PENALTIES IMPOSED (Per Preaa Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Five milk roundsmen admitted in the Magistrate's Court breaches of the awad by starting their rounds before 3 a.m. Mr. C. P. Smith, of the Department of Labour, said that apart from the unfair advantage they gained over the other roundsmen, the action was calculated to cause dissatisfaction among the roundsmen who observed the award.

Remarking that these were the first cases of the kind to come before him, Mr. J. A. Gilmour, S.M., gave judgment for the department for a £1 .penalty in each case
