FIRST TROPHY MATCH

MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB IMPROVED SCORING On Saturday evening members of the Gisborne Miniature Rifle Club contested the first round of the first trophy match. The members have been divided into two grades, each section competing for separate trophies. The A Grade competition will be decided over the aggregate of four weekly shoots, while B Grade matches will be conducted over the aggregate of two weekly shoots. Scores in Saturday’s matches showed a general improvement over those of' previous weeks. C. Lloyd headed the! A Grade with a total of 98.84, while F. J. Jeune registered the best target for the evening, recording 98 off the rifle. In the B Grade W. J. Stratton and W. Shaskey shared the honours, each scoring 98.6.
