LOUIS WINS AGAIN

DEFEAT OF ITALIAN TECHNICAL KNOCK-OUT END IN NINTH ROUND (ft Inc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. April 10, 9 a.m.) ST. LOUIS, April 9. The heavyweight boxing champion, Joe Louis, 14st. 71b., beat Tony Musto, Mst. lib., on a technical knock-out in the ninth round. Musto refused to acknowledge the severe beating lie was taking and kept forcing the fight until the referee waved him to his corner when his face was beaten to such a pulp that he could no longer see the champion. Louis won every round but the second, which was even, and in which Musto forced Louis to the ropes, a sharp left hook from Musto opening a cut above Louis’ left eye, but this was the peak of the pudgy Italian’s brief glory.
