LABOUR FEDERATION

MINISTERS’ ADDRESSES WAR EFFORT AND FINANCE (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A detailed and comprehensive address on New Zealand’s present position in particular relation to its war effort was given by the Prime Minister, the Rl. Hon P. Fraser, to the annual conference of the Federation of Labour yesterday the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash spoke about the Dominion’s financial position and commitments.

Much of the business done by the conference is of a general nature arising out of various reports. They revealed that the membership had increased by 4361 and that the affiliated organisations number 197.
