CHEMISTS CONFER

PROPOSED SERVICES SOCIAL SECURITY ACT (Ppi- Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Representatives of chemists from all parts of New Zealand met the Minister of Health, the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, :n conference yesterday to discuss the preposed regulation. oealing with the pharmaceutical benefits under the Social Security Act and other matters relating to the provision of these benefits.

Members of the conference later consulted with the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash.

In an interview last night Mr. Nordmeyer stated that the conversations had been conducted in a most co-operative spirit. It was hoped after the Cabinet had had the opportunity of discussing certain matters that had been raised a scheme would be evolved satisfactory to all parties concerned.
