KING’S THEATRE "TOPPER TAKES A TRIP”: BRIL--I,IA NT FARCE-COM EDV Hal Roach’s "Topper Takes a Trip,' which is being screened at the King’. Beautifully staged, brilliantly directed, and played expertly by a hand-picked cast, this film deserves to be placed conspicuously on every screen fan's best 10 list. The cast includes Constance Bennett. Roland Young, Billie Burke, Alar Mowbray. Verrce Toasdalc, Alexander D’Arcy. Franklin Pangborn, Paul Hurst and Armand Kaiiz. Roland Young again plays the role of Cosmo Topper, the bewildered banker, who is about to lose his prim and conventional wife, played by the ever delightful Billie Burke.

An amazing adventure story dealing with the experiences of five human beings who arc shrunk to doll size by a diabolical and clever scientist,, the film concentrates cn weird effects, which are emphasised and made realistic by Technicolottr photography. The fivevictims are lured into the madmanV laboratory, and in front of his infernal machine the five are turned into onefifth 1 hoir natural size and awake in a world that, turns their blood cold with terror.
